Description

tmdm:subject resolves in TMCL to http://psi.topicmaps.org/iso13250/model/subject

however, the TMDM defines the subject URI: http://psi.topicmaps.org/iso13250/glossary/subject

This is a conflict.

History

It only seems that way. :)

The "glossary" PSIs are not to be used for anything except indexing of content, as the text in the annex quite clearly says.

So, TMDM does not actually define a "tmdm:subject" PSI at all. Instead, TMCL does that, but it defines it in the namespace of TMDM.

One might argue that this is not the best way to go about things, but in any case it's what we've done.

Perhaps this should be mentioned in the tmdm:subject section?

The Seattle meeting considered this, and concluded that tmdm:subject should be defined in TMCL.

tmdm:subject is already defined in the TMCL spec, so we consider this issue closed.

The namespace URI is http://psi.topicmaps.org/iso13250/model/, so there's nothing about the URI that says it must necessarily be defined in the TMDM. Therefore skipping the clarifying note.
