Description

Should TMCL require that implementations support a minimal set of datatypes, and allow implementations to also support other datatypes beyond that minimal set? If so, which datatypes?

The datatypes supported by CTM are: xsd:anyURI, xsd:decimal, xsd:integer, xsd:date, xsd:dateTime, xsd:string, and ctm:integer. Perhaps this is a suitable minimal set.

The Seattle meeting considered this, and decided that TMCL should support the same set of datatypes as CTM. Implementations are, however, allowed to also support additional datatypes.
